NFL Roundup: Week 9

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the only undefeated team in the NFL. Surprising, isn’t it?

They haven’t had the hardest schedule going off of records, but the Cowboys played like their old selves and the Broncos and Texans also gave them a tough time. They have beat 3 teams over .500; they routed the Browns, barely defeated the Titans, and squeaked one out against the Ravens. Even when one player doesn’t play well, or their team doesn’t play well, they have still been able to get the win by either relying on different players or even getting a little lucky like against the Titans.

Their next game against the Bengals may not seem tough, but they are missing some key players like starting quarterback Ben Rothlisberger and starting tight end Vance McDonald, due to Covid-19 precautions. The Bengals are 2-5-1, last in the AFC North, the same division as the Steelers. Even if the Steelers lose, they will keep first place, but they will lose the undefeated season. They will need Mason Rudolph to step up and take on the starting QB roll. He has done this before, like last year when Rothlisberger was injured. They went 8-8 with Rudolph starting last year, and will hope for him to keep their perfect season alive. I think as long as their players can come back as soon as their 14 days are up, they will be able to play against the Ravens on the 26th.

After the Bengals, Pittsburgh will face the Jaguars before the Ravens so they should be fine. I think they also have a very good chance to win it all this postseason. They will have to most definitely go through the defending champs, the Chiefs, who are even better this year than last. They still have a chance, but they will most definitely make it as far as they can without facing the Chiefs.
